An Albuquerque photographer story: A Little Boy and a Garbage Truck

Once upon a time, there was a little boy in Albuquerque who adored garbage trucks. His sheer excitement would cause him to clench his tiny fists against his cheek to help contain the garbage truck joy that pulsated through his tiny body every time he saw that truck coming down the street.

His passion for garbage trucks was so immense that his mama decided to throw him a birthday bash themed around these magnificent vehicles.

Naturally, it only made sense that this little boy would want his birthday portraits taken with that most necessary and wonderful of all vehicles: a garbage truck.

Fortunately, Road Runner Waste Service, a renowned Albuquerque waste management company, was more than accommodating.

Frank with Road Runner, not only arrived with his truck but also generously allowed the little boy who loved garbage trucks to climb aboard the ladder, perch in the driver’s seat, honk the horn, assist with dumpster emptying, and even go home with an official Road Runner vest, hat, and toy garbage truck of his own.

It’s hard to tell who was more thrilled: the little boy, his mother, or their photographer.

A heartfelt thanks to Road Runner Waste Service for making it all possible.
