You can take advantage of incredible green landscapes (yes, green) colorful flowers, and gorgeous light. Parks, gardens, and urban areas can all provide fantastic backdrops for capturing memorable senior portraits.
longer days and better light
Summer days are longer, giving you more time to schedule your senior session and take advantage of the golden hour-the period right before sunset when the summer light is soft and warm. The extended daylight hours provide more flexibility in planning your session and allows for more locations and even greater variety.
seasonal wardrobe options
Summer allows for a greater range of clothing options for senior portraits. You can showcase light and airy outfits, vibrant colors, and flowy dresses. Hats, sandals, and of course, colorful pedicures.
incredible weather…even with monsoons
Summer in Albuquerque is warm and dry and then the monsoons hit. Now, you might not think we’re big fans of rain, but those summer monsoons carry with them incredible clouds and colors. Sometimes we take a break to allow the rain to pass, but often, if we wait it out, we are rewarded with a sky that looks like it was literally painted.

Summer means that school is out for most. Summer brings with it vacation, which means there isn’t homework or projects to have to worry about or schedule around. All you have to concentrate on during your senior session is having fun..and trust us, it’s SO much fun.
