My dad used to say, “A father carries pictures in his wallet where his money used to be, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Father’s are unsung heroes. They are the killers of spiders; the fixers of cars; the mowers of lawns. They seek out monsters under the bed and shoo them away. While mothers worry their child will fall off the jungle gym, it’s fathers who encourage “Keep going! You’re almost there!” They are the protectors, the warriors and a family’s shield against the world.

Thank you, dads, and Happy Father’s Day. Never forget you make a difference.
