"As a third generation Monarch I am proud to be named a Class of 2023 Selfless Seniors for Manzano High School.
I get so much from helping others and doing good things for my community and have plenty of opportunities to do so through the following groups in my school; Student Senate, EdRising, Peer Sponsors and AVID. I am also the first female Eagle Scout with BSA Troop 1395 and have done work through my church throughout the years.
Working through some tough times educationally, mentally and physically in life has given me the courage and ability to help others

Family are the people who have your back.
Family are the people you call at 2am in the morning when your soul is troubled.
Family are the people that make your life complete.

It wasn’t just cold during Felix’s senior sess

It wasn’t just cold during Felix’s senior session, it was bitter cold. It was the kind of cold where the wind bites through your clothing and you swear you’ll never be warm again. It was the kind of cold that forces you to sit in your car afterwards for ten minutes with the heat blowing on high just to be able to grasp the steering wheel.

People, it was frigid.

It was a level of cold we don’t usually see in Albuquerque and yet, standing there on that Albuquerque overpass, rush hour traffic below us on I-25, the sub-zero wind whipping my lights around like they were in a blender, it had arrived in full force.

It was dark, bitter cold and windy.

But, and here’s the best part, you would NEVER KNOW IT by looking at Felix.
This guy was amazing.

Why do we wish you this?

Because pursuit of the perfect Christmas sucks the joy right out of it. It redirects our focus away from the Spirit of Christmas and toward all the stuff that doesn't matter.
At all.

So hold your family tight.
Embrace your friends.
Allow the quiet knowledge that the magic of Christmas Eve has nothing to do with anything WE do.

So make it messy and loud and sticky and crazy. Because no matter what the night holds, the reason for the night never changes...
