My favorite color is green. It represents life and growth and good things. Unless it’s mold on cheese, and then it represents the fact you need to clean out the fridge.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like color, but we all have our own preferences when it comes to tones and shades and vibrancy. And the great thing is-there is no right or wrong. Some like soft, muted pastels and then there are people like me, who prefer their colors as rich as the world around them.
Color is always the second thing I look for when creating an image, it’s importance proceeded only by Light. Now, if you’re not from New Mexico, you might think we are a state with only the colors blue and brown to our name, but nothing could be farther from the truth-we’ve got it all. But sometimes, you have to go find it, as anyone who has tromped around the forest or through the city with me will know (“Frank, how much further?) You have to go to where the color is but it’s always worth the trip. Nature has a wonderful way of rewarding those who seek out her beauty and tends to hold the most richly colored places for those willing to work for it.
Yes, I don’t know if anyone can really explain what draws us to the colors we love. I happen to think it’s more that the colors pick US than the other way around.
